This is also the source of some of Gary Gygax's monsters for D&D - cheap plastic Chinese monsters. The Bulette, Rust Monster, and others all stemmed from this. Here is "Land of Ninja" which I helped write in 1987. Bob Charette (author of the Bushido RPG) was the primary writer. Everything I knew about Japan at that point I'd gotten via movies or my friend David, who spoke Japanese and had lived there three years. I did try to research a little by reading some books. We didn't want to call it Land of Ninja, but Eric Dott, owner of Avalon Hill, who published RuneQuest 3, insisted because he heard Ninja were popular. When he saw the front cover below, Mr. Dott asked, "Who is the scary guy in black?" We said, "He's the ninja. You said we had to have a ninja on the front." Mr. Dott: "But he looks like a bad guy!" Us: "Yes. He is a bad guy. Ninjas are bad guys. They're assassins." Dott: "Oh. Well it looks like the ninja is about to attack that guy on the bridge." Us: "Yes. He's a samurai." We hastened to add "The samurai is a good guy." to reassure him. Dott: "But is the samurai going to win the fight? Will the bad guy kill him?" We didn't know what to tell him at first, because it was just a painting. But then we saod we had faith in our samurai but man it was pretty wild the way he built up in his mind this whole story about the image. Chaosium in the late 80s, ladies and gentlemen.

「Unlimitedで第一巻を読んだら、面白かったから第二巻から後も全部買った」 なら分かる。 「海賊版を読んだら面白かったから、他の友達にも勧めた。正規版は配信されてなかったから、金を払えないのは仕方がないので、二巻から後の続きも【親切な海賊版サイト】で読んだ。親切な海賊版サイトは自分を幸福にしたから良い存在だ。正規版を出さないのは企業の勝手。企業に金を払っても原作者が得をしないんだから、原作者のためにも金を払わない」 こういう言い草の泥棒にうんざりしている。

ゴザンティ級はタイ・ファイターも係留できるめちゃくちゃ有能なクルーザーで「全部こいつだけでいいんじゃね？」ってなる 反乱者たちとかマンダロリアンでよく見る。 帝国版が有名だけど、製造元のコレリアンエンジニアリングは、実はクローン戦争前から民間にも卸してて、EP1に映ってる。
