Here are the facts: 1. The cost per pound (lb) he quotes ($1,200) is for a current Falcon 9. A NON-REUSABLE Starship will cost between $225 and $450. A fully reusable Starship as it matures will drop that to as low as $5. 2. There is NO WAY any vendor would even conceive of placing a NVL72 rack into orbit. Such a rack is designed as a liquid cooled, multi KW processor, of excessive size, weight and prohibitive power requirements, with an entirely incompatible cooling system and no radiation hardening. Total cost and redundancy mismatch. 3. Intelligent design choices apply to the type of processing (principally inference), the heat dissipation methods (radiative cooling), power supply (solar, of course), Communication (laser), and so on. Rocket science. @glennlockwood is no Rocket Scientist. He is, however, on BlueSky. Ironic.
