Honoured to be in Katwijk yesterday, marking 80 years since 🇳🇱 merchant sailors were stood down from wartime service to the Allies. From 1940–1946, they bravely faced mines, U‑boats & air attacks to support the liberation of Europe & keep vital supply routes to 🇬🇧 open.
