@cunningtricks i saw so many autistic characters over the years and i literally had a good autistic friend even peer review me but because I was so high masking I rlly didn’t believe I could be. And then I saw Shane and realized “oh fuck, I am actually.” I got a highscore on the RAADs too 😭

@52hz_reader ISNT THAT WILD?? Sometimes you see a character and go ‘oh that’s me whoops.’ Shane is such a good rep of autism too. Love that man. My friend made me take the raads test and well. I scored pretty high 😭

@cunningtricks i went to multiple places over the years before I got my AUDHD diagnosis. Did get peer review diagnosis for ADHD tho and then I watched Shane Hollander in HR and went “🤨 am i autistic?” and it went from there 😭😭😭

@52hz_reader I didn’t find out I had an official ADD diagnosis until my latest psych was going over my list of things wrong with me and mentioned it 🤣

@cunningtricks my psych (who helped me get my diagnosis) was great! the person before him though… yikes. they didn’t even teach me any self regulating behaviors or anything like that. just made me come to therapy, talk and didn’t even start on a diagnosis even by the 4th appointment.

@cunningtricks i live in a pretty small country and our mental health services aren’t great either. it’s pretty much like maybe in the past seven or so years they’ve gotten even marginally okayish. and even now it still sucks so bad. services are often overwhelmed and some therapists just suck

@52hz_reader Ugh I hate that for you!!! The services here are also.. not great. But I live in a more rural area. EMDR workbooks are my jam.

@cunningtricks I have been on a waitlist for about 2 months almost? The services in my country are kind of shit so i’m just suffering haha. got my diagnosis but not the therapy 😭
