Finally, I laughed at the serendipity of hearing Peter Gabriel’s Here Comes The Flood from his self-titled album during a literal flood. Also Solsbury Hill from that same album is a banger. I love its use of 7/4 where the accent changes between the instrumental hook & the verse.

And now for #701 - #800 on the #1001AlbumsGenerator. There were a few 5★ scores, namely Buckley’s Grace, Led Zep’s IV, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus (Breathless is a PHENOMENAL track) and The Waterboys’ Fisherman’s Blues.

13 years ago I won tickets to a random band I’d never heard of called The Mavericks during their first Aussie tour. I became an instant fan from the moment they hit the stage and was lucky enough to see them again a few years later in Canada. Thanks for the music, Raul

Just checked @JohnWilliamson’s upcoming gigs and impulse-bought a ticket to see him in Tamworth in January. Once-in-a-lifetime bucket list experience to see him in the country music capital. Can’t wait!

Finally, I see that Kollaps by German industrial/experimental outfit Einstürzende Neubauten is one of the lowest-rated albums across the whole project, with an average of 1.9★, but I gave it a 4★. It’s total rubbish, but it was hilarious as a one-off spin. Never again though!

Now for the garbage: as usual, most of the American hip-hop. Step In The Arena by Gang Starr and Enter The Wu-Tang by Wu-Tang Clan were both total wastes of my time that I’ll never get back. And coming back to Brazil, the heaviness of Sepultura’s Arise, was far too off-putting.

Time for my thoughts on #601 - #700 on the #1001AlbumsGenerator. The only 5★ given was to Elbow’s masterpiece, The Seldom Seen Kid. The outro of One Day Like This is worth 5★ alone but the whole album is of such great quality.

@JasonMLewis3 @smartereveryday Thank you! That was really annoying me. I found the Safari setting and back to normal again.

My biggest complaint so far has be with the new Safari browser. The extra layer hiding the tabs and bookmarks was an incompetent change. Who thought that it was a good idea to require extra button pushes while also shrinking the buttons? Fortunately, you there is a change in the Settings menu to change that.

I enjoy the iMessage ecosystem, which is largely why I'm on iOS. The latest iOS update seems to be a pretty significant step backwards to me in terms of functionality and ease of use. Am I the only one that feels this way? I wish I could revert to the older version.
