Rules of Knicks Playoffs Analysis: 1) Ignore Knicks excellent metrics but cite the opponent’s at every opportunity. 2) Find a Dolan story. 3) No mention of Brunson unless you call him short and/or a second option on a championship team.

At least a couple of times a season, I find myself wondering how it could be possible that a center as old as Andre Drummond is still in the league, only to look it up and see that he is 32 years old, a fact that seems to stand in defiance of all I understand about linear time.

This one means a lot. Not every season is a straight line, but I’m proud of how I kept showing up and stayed true to myself through it all. Coming to Chicago gave me a new energy, a real opportunity to just play my game and be myself again. I gave everything I had every night, for the team, for this city, and for everyone who showed love from day one. That support never went unnoticed. Thank you to the organization, my teammates, and the fans for welcoming me the way you did. I’m grateful for this chapter. And I know there’s more to come. 🙏🏾🤲🏾🧸🖤

Walter Kirn tries soooooo hard to be an internet guru.
Steve Skojec@SteveSkojec

On our latest episode of the Monitoring the Situation Podcast (bit.ly/47W2h8f), @kalezelden and I discuss a profoundly interesting tweet from one of our favorite follows, the great @walterkirn. The tweet in question discusses "narratives of intrigue" that are "obviously pushed" and "composed, LLM-style, of parts of earlier narratives lodged in the collective mind." Walter calls this "Large Language Media." It's a kind of scripted reality. And that's a pitch right over the plate for your situation monitors:

🌍✨ This stunning image, captured during the Artemis II mission, offers a breathtaking view of Earth from space. From this unique vantage point, the planet’s natural curvature is clearly visible, leaving no doubt about its true spherical shape. The horizon gently arcs beneath the glow of the rising sun, creating a powerful and awe-inspiring scene. ☀️🌊 Sunlight reflects beautifully across vast oceans, while soft, swirling clouds stretch across continents in intricate patterns. The deep blackness of space surrounds the Earth, making the vibrant blues and whites stand out even more dramatically. It’s a reminder of how incredible and delicate our planet truly is. 🚀 This perspective from space allows us to appreciate Earth in a way that’s impossible from the ground. Seeing the full curve of the planet highlights not only its shape but also its beauty and unity. Key Highlights: 🌍 Clearly visible curvature of Earth from space ☀️ Stunning sunrise illuminating the horizon 🌊 Rich blue oceans with detailed cloud formations 🌌 Deep space background enhancing contrast 🚀 Captured during the Artemis II mission This image is more than just a photograph—it’s a powerful visual reminder of our place in the universe. What the Artemis II astronauts did over the last 10 days was a testament to their bravery. And the fact that they traveled farther from Earth than anyone ever has, re-entered our atmosphere at more than 24,000 mph, and splashed down safely was a testament to human ingenuity. Thanks to everyone at @NASA for making this mission possible, and for taking us along for the ride.
