In an industry where team work is the fuel for growth, why will Funke Akindele snub her like that? What could be the cause? 🤔

This is the same thing I've been typing, all day. Sadly, people driven by emotion just won't understand. They're as myopic as the person they follow. You can like someone and still identify the person's weakness. It doesn't make you fake. Rather, it underscores your originality. LP would have been a formidable opposition, today. It's well. Zero leadership trait!

LP should be hosting, the biggest & most flamboyant convention as of today. If any party was capable of bragging about the most defections, they had all the right ingredients. NNPP possessed 1/10th or less of the brand equity. 4 yrs later Mama, Papa, Pikin have zero relatives!

The life of the party was Peter Obi. Do you still want to live in denial of that? He left and the party ended. So, blame the LP leaders who chose money over party loyalty. They allowed external forces make them fight their leader even in the press. They kept openly attacking the one person that brought them fame. No, that's beyond disagreement, that's betrayal, so PO left, and they're back to where they came from. You see, you can take a girl out of the bush, but you may not be able to take the bush out of the girl. LP seems comfortable in their mediocrity, and their mediocrity they have returned to. ¡Chao chao!

@diepole @bukolasaraki My brother, politics is all about interests. What is often seen as collective interests is actually an amalgamation of several personal interests that overlap. Saraki is oiling his political machinery for the future. This may or may not overlap with Wike's interests.

BREAKING: President Tinubu Donates All His Salaries Since Assuming Office to New Armed Forces Welfare Fund on His 74th Birthday On the occasion of his 74th birthday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the creation of a dedicated welfare fund to support Nigeria’s Armed Forces, honouring their service, sacrifices, and the families they leave behind. In a personal statement, the President and Commander-in-Chief declared: “On this my 74th birthday, I celebrate the valiant men and women of our Armed Forces.” He directed the Accountant-General of the Federation to immediately establish a special account for the fund, which will cater to: - Serving personnel - Those wounded in the line of duty - Families of fallen heroes (widows, widowers, and children) As a personal commitment, President Tinubu revealed that all his salaries since assuming office will be paid into this account as seed funding. This is in addition to existing insurance and welfare schemes. The fund will provide direct support to personnel who have lost limbs and to the dependents of those who paid the ultimate price in service to the nation. The President called for broad national support: “I call on our Governors, members of the National Assembly, the private sector, my friends and all well-wishers to support this initiative. Details of the account will be made available in due course.” He emphasised the moral obligation behind the move: “We must never forget those who stand in harm’s way for our peace, nor the sacrifices borne by their families. This is not charity. It is duty. And we will fulfil it.” Further details on the special account and how to contribute are expected to be released soon by the relevant authorities.

I understand this is the season of unbridled excitement but it's funny how anyone thinks Obi/Kwankwanso is a viable ticket. That ticket won't win up 10 states. Any ticket that doesn't have a Northerner at the top has no chance in NE/NW. But go ahead & enjoy the delusion.

Nigerian pastor Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, founder of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), ignited fierce public outrage after posting on social media seeking a non-autistic wife for his adopted son, Aboy, who has autism. The cleric openly cited the young man’s uncontrollable sexual urges as a growing concern in a home with other vulnerable children. In exchange, he offered lifetime monthly salary, accommodation, bride price payment, medical care, and even overseas trips—framing it as a compassionate solution for a child abandoned at his church gate. Critics slammed the proposal as dehumanizing, reducing a disabled person to a transactional arrangement and raising serious questions about consent, exploitation, and the dignity of people with disabilities. Many viewed it as insensitive to autism realities, where professional support, supervision, and education—not a paid marriage—should address behavioral challenges. Chinyere later issued a public apology to women amid the backlash. The episode highlights deeper societal gaps: inadequate care systems for neurodivergent individuals and the fine line between desperate caregiving and problematic commodification. True compassion demands respect, not incentives that blur care with convenience.
