@MichaelRosenYes It’s a Schengen rule so nothing to do with Brexit because we weren’t in Schengen scheme even when in EU.

@LauraJeanneArt @Redknapp @AintreeRaces Just don’t turn your back on him if you’ve got something he wants.

Such wonderful memories from 2 years ago today! With the absolute true legend that is @Redknapp @AintreeRaces 🙌🏻 I had a bad car accident just 2 weeks before this- and Harry very kindly offered to drive me as I didn’t have a car. We need more people in this world as kind as you, Harry! I will never forget this day & thank you once again 🙏🏻☺️

@AllenCummings6 @FabrizioRomano I’ve heard several pundits tipping Leeds but the thing in their favour is that they still have Wolves and Burnley to play at Elland Road. Could also work in our favour if they’re safe and on the beach when they come to us.
English

@dockcopper @FabrizioRomano I really hope it's the spuds - but Leeds are well in contention. Lose to Manure tomorrow and they will be level on games with us and just a point more. A semi-final distraction plus injuries. And they have to come to us still

@samanthaowen008 @LionelMedia Newton’s Third Law of Motion - every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
If you put your hands against the wall and push forward into the wall you will move backwards.
English

@LionelMedia There is no thrust in a vacuum; therefore, besides all the other reasons why it's impossible to leave earth's atmosphere (firmament), how would the space ship travel without thrust?

@TracyMitch99561 @Higgles17 I was disgusted the way they tried to gloss over and close ranks on the Gold Dancer fiasco. I could see from my armchair the horse wasn’t right after the fence. The BHA in particular did themselves and racing no favours.
English

@dockcopper @Higgles17 I was being flippant. And I, too, own horses. We obviously have a different idea of how they should be treated.
English

@TracyMitch99561 @Higgles17 Can you tell me at what course in UK there arebfences of 6ft+? The highest fence at Aintree is The Chair - 5ft 2ins & no horse fell there in this year’s National. I owned a horse a few years ago and it never reached the track because it was injured enjoying itself in a paddock.
English

@Higgles17 Unless they don't quite make the grade, especially in Ireland. And of course, we have the wonderful welfare of these beautiful sentient creatures at the race course. Ridden to death with a broken back, being forced over fences of 6ft + all for greedy, grubby trainers & owners.
English

@lghooperltd @PolleyMatt Stand corrected you’re right. Not the first time I’ve mixed those two up for some reason👍
English

@dockcopper @PolleyMatt Ryme n reason , Brendon Powell, David Elsworth , went on to win then retired
English

Unfortunate incident Alex, this horse got up and won the national btw. See you next year and the year after……..

I hope this photo is a watershed moment. Forced to carry on to the end of the race with a broken back. Collapsed & died after the finish line. RIP Gold Dancer. If you’re making money off this kind of suffering - how do you look at yourself in the mirror?
English

@otokyo__ 20 and a few more similar things like put money in a television meter, watched a Betamax tape, used a book of tables for logarithms and trigonometry and recorded onto a tape recorder.
English

@itvracing At nearly EVERY Grand National race I see, there's always a faller or more at the first fence!
English

I see you’ve forgotten about yesterday already @BHAHorseracing but please don’t say it’s the same thrilling spectacle it’s nowhere near.
British Horseracing Authority@BHAHorseracing
The Grand National. Different fences. Fewer runners. Fewer fallers. Same thrilling spectacle. British racing never stands still when it comes to safety.
English

@itvracing Why do commentators/pundits compare the performance of a modern day Grand National winner with the achievements of a legend like Red Rum who won the race 3 times and was second twice when it was a proper test of horse and jockey. He also won the Scottish National.
English

@racingblogger Like comparing school sports day to the Olympics. The Nationals of the Red Rum generation were completely different events.
