I dunno, this is sus. Choosing just four students to invite to dinner seems kinda discriminatory and problematic. Freshman students’ brains aren’t even done developing. This probably warrants a student affairs investigation.

Freshman year in college my English professor invited me and four of his other students for dinner. Near the end of the night, he told us we were the special ones and it didn’t matter what our history was or that our college was small. We were going to make it and do what we wanted. It changed my life. He read at my wedding. We stayed close until the day he died.
