That last part. If your offense has to score 6 every possession, your offense won't operate at it's max potential.

@Lord_Dylly If the defense is average, that makes us a playoff contender. Nudge that up to top 10ish and we are in the mix for the Super Bowl. This offense is not only elite, it will be much better with a defense that doesn't leave it constantly playing up hill.

#Cowboys with significant overhaul of their defense versus 2025: Of the 27 defenders on the 2025 Week 1 roster, only 12 are still here, including just 3 of 11 starters. Since then, Cowboys have added 13 new players to the defense, including probably 7 new starters.
