i had a convo with some younger people a while ago where they squirmed at the idea of getting piercings because it's permanent & can go wrong and instead defended fake piercings. they want to look edgy without the commitment of a real body mod. sad and fake behavior tbh

i would wear fakes to see how they looked before i actually got them. before that, i wore fakes bc my mom wouldn't let me get piercings. i don't rly see the issue with this and i didn't know other people considered it a problem at all
