@whitewall618431 Correct, saw so many top bands for nothing, The Greyhound on Fulham Palace road, The Kensington, Half Moon Putney. Price of couple of pints.

To think people pay ludicrous amounts of money to see middle rank bands play in stadiums and stand miles from the stage. And back in the day you could see a top band like Dr Feelgood for a quid in a spit and sawdust boozer.

@GrocerJackUK Left work early and traveled to Manchester with a friend in his Hillman Minx, probably the greatest moment in my supporting life.

Simply the greatest long thrower ever. Ian Hutchinson. Another childhood hero. I still remember this vividly....it was the year I chose Chelsea. Or the year Chelsea chose me. Wonderful

For those ignorant of our history. One of the great moments in Chelsea history is when we beat Leeds to win the FA Cup for the first time, in the replay in 1970. Back then Leeds were dominating English football. It’s a big historic Chelsea rivalry.

Before the ~1980s, there was no portable music player. You’d go running, rowing, cycling, whatever, for hours on end, in total silence, no sound other than your own thoughts. How did they do it? We will never know
