@EYakoby It is anti-Enlightenment, because it involves a purposeful warping of evidence standards to accommodate accusations against Jews. But it is not third-worldism. The view is increasingly popular among Western elites.

@JewishSpaceLazr The Democrats elect a Nazi to represent them while calling their opponents Nazis. How Orwellian. But it's not about the Democrats. The trend towards a Jew-obsessed politics is present in both political parties. Fueling it is a growing appetite for stories of Jewish villainy.

Graham Platner just won his primary Democrats voted for a guy who: - had a nazi tattoo - lied repeatedly about his nazi tattoo - said he would rape people - sexted with women while married - bragged about drawing penises in porta potties - praised islamic terrorists - said he’s a communist - joined an app known to be used by predators to contact minors

@EYakoby People believe this. They price evidence by destination. If it moves towards Jewish treachery, they let it in cheaply. If it moves towards Jewish innocence, it's rejected completely. This is important to understand.

Some wars feature unending battles and a constant tempo. Others wars have wars within wars. October 7. The 12 day war.The Houthi campaign, Hezbollah. Operation Epic Fury. And warm periods, and hot periods. And ceasefires, and ceasefires within ceasefires. This is not a clash between two ancient civilizations, it's a clash between The Enlightenment and the forces that wish to suppress it.

Sometimes the hate people have for Jews is eclipsed only by the jealousy they have for those who love them. And for those who love those who love them.

@AriFleischer A gallon for an ounce is still a proportional response. The proportion is just different. Predators often advertise safety, not danger. The wolf lowers its head before it lunges. Advertising a weak response sets the stage for a strong one.

As President Trump once said, if you take an ounce of American blood, he will take a gallon of yours. If they shoot down one helicopter, the response should not be “proportional “. It should be so overwhelming that they never shoot at another American helicopter again.
U.S. Central Command@CENTCOM

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces began launching self-defense strikes against Iran at 5 p.m. ET today at the Commander in Chief’s direction, in response to yesterday’s downing of a U.S. Army Apache helicopter. The mission is a proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression.

Is it just me, or does it feel wrong to be playing defense? The U.S. and Israel were obliterating the Islamic regime with total dominance for nearly 40 days, and now we’re suddenly doing “defensive strikes.” This doesn’t sit right with me.

@CathyYoung63 Bari replaces a broken epistemic system, where the evidence bar is lowered to accept accusations of Jewish treachery, with a classical liberal outlook. She is not perfect, but her epistemic system is intact, which is more than one can say for the people she replaces.

As someone who's defended Bari in the past, I think it's fairly clear at this point that she's acting as a MAGA-lite operative with a Trump-placating agenda. Is there spontaneous left-of-center bias in the media? Sure, but a government-placating bias is far more dangerous.

CBS News boss Bari Weiss poised to oversee CNN editorial operations: report CBS News boss @BariWeiss is likely to gain editorial oversight of @CNN if and when Paramount Skydance’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery is approved, according to a report. Paramount executives are said to have held preliminary discussions with several candidates who would come in and run the business-side operations next to Weiss while she continues to oversee editorial.

Met some lovely Christian Lebanese and Iranians last night and we all agreed that Australia is not picky enough when it comes to who we let into our nation Maronite dude with a thick accent (he only came here a few years ago) told me a lot of Muslim Lebanese act like they are very poor here, immediately want to go on welfare etc but if you look at what they've got in Lebanon, they're actually from really wealthy families He's there, dressed impeccably, complaining that his sister who is also very educated, from a well-to-do Lebanese family had her tourist visa denied while he sees, in his words "guys with huge beards, in dirty sandals" getting PR and citizenship approved Maronite friends told me that in Auburn they "laugh at Australia, they laugh at what we are doing"-- they disrespect us because we disrespect ourselves An Australian migration agent there told me Arabs are great clients because one person comes then they want to bring the whole fam and there's always the same first few questions: how do I get public housing, how do I get benefits His words, not mine 🤷‍♀️ It goes without saying what the Iranians think, they are even more anti-Islam than I am

@HenMazzig The problem Antizionists have with Lapid is that he defies their stereotype of Israelis. In with fake stories of Jewish treachery, away with real stories of Jewish compassion. Lapid must not be seen. Away with him! Ban him from the festival!

Nadav Lapid, an Israeli filmmaker, is a staunch critic of Israel's government. As part of a political protest, Nadav moved to France in 2021, and his films often offer a critique of Israeli society. He has spoken up about Gaza many times. He was meant to be a judge for the Marseille Film Festival, but no longer is because Free Palestine activists were leaving the Film Festival simply due to his presence. What exactly does Free Palestine want from Jewish Israelis aside from straight-up dying? Because he's done everything else they claim to want, and they still hate him to the point of a boycott. Some celebrities like Natalie Portman, Justine Triet, and Jacques Audiard have signed an open letter opposing the boycott, but I don't see Free Palestine suddenly becoming reasonable.

Donald Trump has announced that Iran was responsible for shooting down a US helicopter last night, stating that the United States must respond to the attack. I'm confused. Just two days ago, Trump demanded that Israel refrain from retaliating against Iran because their attack resulted in zero casualties. Why is there a sudden double standard when it comes to a US response?

@havivrettiggur The point is not to understand the event. The point is to make the USS Liberty event perform a role: prove Israel is uniquely treacherous, prove America is controlled, and turn hostility into vigilance.

The test is simple: would people explain global harassment of another minority by pointing to one leader from that group? If not, "Netanyahu" is doing scapegoat work. "Netanyahu" is the political alibi for the lowered bar. It lets people say they are criticizing one man while making Jewish guilt cheap, Jewish fear suspicious, and anti-Jewish hostility morally intelligible.

“Netanyahu” today functions as a boogeyman. He is a hated figure on the world stage because he plays the role of the Jewish villain in the antizionist universe, not unlike the role Baron de Rothschild played in the antisemitic universe. He serves as a scapegoat and a figure of blame. References to “Netanyahu” are regularly invoked to justify and avoid discussion of the explosion of antizionist hate that followed October 7. Rather than confronting the ideology itself, attention is displaced onto a single individual, as though the harassment of Jews, the normalization of antizionist hatred, and the global mobilization against Israel can all be explained by one man, which is irrational and nonsensical.
