Often we push to educate youth on the dangers of drugs, when we should be educating the parents as well. Topics like safe storage, pill counting and various warnings signs. Just because they are prescribed doesn't mean they aren't dangerous.

Whatever or however you may be celebrating or observing at this time of year, seems a very good time to recognize the nation we share, the vision we all seek to preserve, and the diverse society where we all must continue learning how to be better to one another.

@AFPAElliott @tamfry5045 This job is second to none, I would recommend it even in the current climate. No amount of criticism can take away the satisfaction of stopping a crime, helping someone in need or saving a life. We make a difference no matter what the loud voices may say.

“Why would anyone want to be a cop right now?" An ongoing issue in Canada. I love my profession but I would not recommend it to anyone given the current climate & sadly, I’m not alone with my opinion. Fantastic job but criticized no matter how hard we try ottawacitizen.com/news/local-new…

It’s with mixed feelings that we congratulate @WRPSToday Chief Bryan Larkin on his retirement from the service. Our Past-President & current @CACP_ACCP President has been a valued colleague, mentor & friend to so many of us. Thank you, Chief. Here’s to the next chapter!

Its hard to ignore these numbers. Its time to change things up when it comes to drug policy. New strategies are required to make real change so these numbers move in the other direction. @OACPOfficial
Halton Police@HaltonPolice

We are in the midst of a drug poisoning emergency. In the last 86 days, our officers have responded to 103 suspected overdoses, and the community has lost 13 loved ones to substance use / misuse so far this year. These are not statistics. These are lives.
