As @Ruxiiii4 points out, many Asian clubs, mainly Indonesian 🇮🇩 and Malaysian 🇲🇾 ones, are several months behind on paying their players’ wages. To ‘make up for it’, they sometimes offer to pay part of the salary in cash, just so the player has something and doesn’t complain (it’s either that or nothing). The problem is that the salaries offered are often too high relative to the club’s actual financial capacity, which also explains the constant turnover of players. Other Asian leagues are obviously affected, but few offer the living and financial conditions found in Indonesia and Malaysia (or even the Philippines 🇵🇭, which has major management issues). And as long as no one speaks out, the situation will continue...

Aku ada pengalaman kerja wartawan untuk syarikat media kecil dan ya media ni dibayar oleh syarikat2 tertentu sebagai majikannya selain mereka juga cover berita2 yang selalu dikeluarkan. Kalau tengok MB cover bola sepak sebagai story utama.
Senang nak tahu siapa majikannya cuba lihat berapa banyak story tentang “dia” dan biasanya media itulah paling pantas untuk keluarkan berita daripada PR, sama ada yang kita tahu atau media itu saja yang tahu.
Akhir sekali, bukan menunding MB tetapi memang itulah lumrah dan rahsia dalam kewartanan. Safe to say, MB sememangnya bekerja untuk majikannya.
