This was Newcastle, UK, in 1985. I was the only brown kid in the entire school. Decades later, this area is still overwhelmingly white. So when people claim the country is being “taken over,” it simply doesn’t reflect reality.

@MoneySavingExp I've noticed they rarely underestimate. I've also never understood the 'switch tariffs to save money' suggestions, particularly in the age of smart meters. Just assume I want the cheaper tariff and save everyone the bother.

If @narindertweets ever needs my support, she's got it. I adore the woman. She speaks her mind (or tweets her thoughts). She doesn't align herself or follow an agenda. She calls things out she doesn't agree with. Oh, and she's beautiful too

Rory Stewart is 100% correct. Whichever way you slice the pie - it's pure racism. My only gripe is - when he or Kevin Maguire call it out for what it is (racism) - no one calls them race baiters. Funny that.

Tiger Woods does not deserve anyone's sympathy. He's a grown ass man who decided to get behind the wheel of a car under the influence YET AGAIN and endangered the lives of others. You do not, in fact, have to feel sorry for him. It was stupid, selfish, and irresponsible.

The Pitt is brilliant at shining lights on contemporary divisive subject matters. The key is that they don't shine the light too bright for too long; and then they dim it. Doing this avoids accusations of being 'too this' or 'too that'. More of a 'this shit happens'

John Alford was in HMP Pentonville when I worked there. I was pregnant with my son and was finally taken off the landings when I was 7 months gone (long story.) I had to read and sort the mail and so I got to read all the craziness his fans sent him. Shocked to hear of his death.
