I’d actually argue the opposite. I spend a lot of time studying policy and how legislation affects real people. I’ve been encouraged to run for office more times than you’d probably guess. I’ve lived both sides of the economic spectrum, I care deeply about giving back, and I don’t need politics for attention or money. I speak up because I care, not because I have to.
