What most people forget is that Telegram had its own version of this, and it died almost the same way. The token was called Gram. Telegram raised $1.7 billion for it in 2018, the SEC attacked in 2019, and by 2020 Telegram had to abandon the project and walk away.
But the code was open source, so the community kept it running and relaunched it as The Open Network, with its native currency rebranding to Toncoin (TON).
Now Telegram is back to become the driving force of TON. It’s now the network’s biggest validator, and this month the token went back to its original name, GRAM.
Libra rebranded to Diem but still couldn’t escape the regulatory pressure and died. Gram rebranded to Toncoin, outlived the whole drama because of the power of the community, and finally came back home to Daddy.

HISTORY: Seven years ago today, @Facebook unveiled Libra. Crypto went from niche to geopolitical flashpoint overnight. Congressional hearings, partner defections, and a global CBDC sprint followed. It was renamed Diem and then the project was Killed in January 2022.

Most people are trying to force a season that hasn’t arrived yet.
$GRAM is still below $2.0
Until liquidity returns to the ecosystem, expecting every meme coin to explode is unrealistic.
When the chain is weak, everything feels slow. When the chain wakes up, capital rotates violently.
UTYA crossing $100M+ would likely signal that risk appetite is back across the ecosystem. That’s when smaller names start getting real attention.
Until then:
• Touch grass.
• Take a holiday.
• Spend time with family.
• Fix your health.
• Build your skills.
• Get your life in order.
The market isn’t asking for action right now. It’s asking for patience.
The biggest money is often made by people who positioned correctly during boredom and simply waited. ⏳
