I recently acquired an oil-on-board painting of a baseball scene, which I recognized as Washington Park, home to ice skaters in the 1860s and to the Brooklyn @Dodgers in the 1880s. What sparked my recognition was the outfield berm, recalling a McLoughlin Bros. board game of 1886.

Sure, I look like Lipman Pike (so does @jay_jaffe). But my true doppelganger is Tony Mullane.

You and I were at Car Wash/Cuandos and — I forget — either they were performing or you told me about them there. And Crackerjacks broke up before I could sign them to Def Am. Erik and Caysonn formed 5-One-6 thereafter. And half their songs were dissing Pete Nice! /1

Auditions for the Hip Hop movie “Beat Street'' were held on November 21, 1983, at the Roxy in Manhattan, also the setting for many of the film's dance scenes 🔥 The movie was produced by Harry Belafonte and paid a whopping sum of $500 for the script. @Rae_Dawn_Chong

This untimely passing of Ecstasy is why our museum is so important for the culture, the pioneers, and the Hip Hop icons of the Past Present and Future. Their stories need to be told and preserved for years to come. His legacy and many others will live on with our museum 🌹🙏🏾
