Apparently #SC22 has 11,000 registrants this year, and only 1,000 are online-only. cf. 2021 where there were 7,000 total and half were online-only, and 2019 which had 14,000.

@thoefler @HPC_Guru @Google I'm not certain anything necessarily happened. Sometimes it's just time for a new challenge, adventure, etc. Hyperscalers have the appeal of scale + a breadth of hardware/software not often found outside of HPC. That's my motivation. @Arm is still an awesome place to work IMHO.
