Prayer request. Quina is going in for surgery this morning to remove 8 cyst caused by her Stage 4 Endometriosis. This will be her 3rd surgery in 16 months. It's been a difficult season but we're trusting the Lord. Please pray for her and keep us lifted. Bendiciones familia 🙏🏿

I have more thoughts on this that I'll share later this month. Especially around how many of these pan-ethnic terms we use like Latino/a can be insufficient.

So yes I am black (Afro-Colombiano). I can speak to the black experience by the very nature of my skin color, my lived experiences, and my ancestry. Ser negro es hermoso.

A friendly reminder that as we celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth that you can be Black and Latino/a. Those terms aren't mutually exclusive. The fact that Afro-latinos/as don’t fit into a Westernized American construct of what he means to be “black” doesn't mean that we’re not black.

Ways to pray for the Inauguration today. Pray against hallow calls of unity Pray against White Supremacy Pray for Repentance Pray for Restoration Pray for Reconciliation Pray for Healing Pray for marginalized BIPOC Pray for Policy Makers Pray for your own self-care.

It's #InaugurationDay 45 is gone. Dios es bueno! Today we celebrate but will mourn the lasting effects of these past 4 years. It's hard to express all the trauma this sinvergüenza & his administration have caused my immigrant family through deportation and evils done to others.
