@NotionHQ Layzer.ai — AI chat with a marketplace of MCP tools. Imagine if Notion had a built-in chat where any tool — Gmail, GitHub, Slack, anything with an MCP server — could plug in as a tool the model could use. That's the idea, just chat-first.

What are you building today?

@TTrimoreau The real lesson: signups were the easy part. Weekly LinkedIn did nothing, Reddit + Twitter got me ~30 users. But they didn't come back, and that exposed something no channel can fix. If retention is broken, a better channel just fills a leaky bucket faster. Fix the product first.

@SolomonV42577 @nyrabuilds @X Honestly no real strategy 🙏 LinkedIn, Reddit, Twitter — most signups from Reddit/Twitter I think. Truth is I've spent most of my time building, not on social. More coder than marketer, so this side is new. Learning as I go.

@TheSpacerr Talk to 20 of them. Find out which ones are hitting limits in the free tier. Free-to-paid is usually a "where's the wall" problem, not a pricing one. Doing this myself — 30 signups on Layzer but most aren't active yet. Started reaching out to understand why.

@VoltrexAI Cheers 🙏 things have moved since Tuesday: OAuth shipped, dev profiles + app submission live, and the first OAuth demo app is in prod as of this morning. Catalog's no longer just the test server.

Day 9 of building Layzer in public. Said I'd ship the MCP apps directory by end of week. Shipped today. Catalog, one-click install, widgets in chat — working with the test server. Real apps next. #buildinpublic #indiehackers #SaaS #AI

@devhanzo1 Update — shipped dev submission this week. Catalog takes external apps now (I manually review each — stopgap, not the long-term answer). The "what can this actually touch" preview you raised is still the trust gap I haven't closed. Probably next hard problem after supply.

@junayed711 one-click install is the easy half. the hard half with an MCP catalog is trust, people paste a server into their agent and it can read everything. nail a "what can this actually touch" preview at submit time and that's the real unlock, not the install.
