It is insane how many people i see saying that pressing red is the right choice, no, you are just selfish and would rather risk sacrificing up to half of all people so that you can be ABSOLUTELY sure you are safe no matter what.
Tim Urban@waitbutwhy

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?

@thechosenberg 1: We dont have as harsh heat as the USA 2: We have better walls, better insulation to protect from outside heat change (cold and hot) 3: We got used to it 4: It is a somewhat expensive asset to buy, which drives up your electricity bill, and it is bad for the environment.

With few exceptions, most Europeans absolutely despise Trump. It’s been wild watching the US destroy all of its soft power in just a year and a half.

@astraiaintel The bureacracy only exists because there are members with Russian (or Chinese, US) influence that benefit from the veto and in making the EU as slow as possible, then they complain about the bureacracy they create to drive against it.

Ukraine defending Europe while waiting for EU invitation is insane. They’ve done more for European security in 3 years than half the current members have in 20. When does merit override bureaucracy? Time to invite them in!

@CerosTV You are contributing to the chance of the red button winning and thus killing half of all people even if you yourself are safe.

French President Macron: We should not underestimate that this is a unique moment where a US president, a Russian president, a Chinese president are dead against the Europeans. This is the right moment for us — wake up.

Europe already has everything to be a superpower: 1. 22T economy 2. 450M people 3. Largest single market on Earth 4. Most educated, highly developed population globally But it’s failing for one reason: Fragmentation. No unified capital markets. No energy sovereignty. No defense integration. Too slow to act. Europe either integrates → or becomes strategically irrelevant. Breakdown: app.openmacro.ai/insights/what-…

Since the start of the Middle East conflict, our bill for fossil fuel imports increased by € 25 billion. Without a single molecule more of energy. We need to reduce our overdependency on fossil fuels. Boost clean energy like renewables and nuclear. And electrify Europe. This is the key to security and stability

Emmanuel Macron is the most popular leader in Europe. His vision for Europe and his way of leading thrills people far beyond the borders of France. What I know fo shur: Europe can‘t allow itself to lose such a personality in 2027.
