So happy to see all the praise for Courtney Grace’s stunning performance. It's a tough task to come into the final ten minutes of a film and sell the emotional core of the whole thing. This is the kind of supporting performance the Oscars should be recognizing.

If Beatrice Straight can be recognized for Network, I don’t see why Courtney Grace can’t for Disclosure Day. A stunning performance of professionalism, shock, disturbance, and, ultimately, empathy for a bewildered world. The third act falls apart without her.

I can now talk about MOTHER MARY…a different kind of ghost story from David Lowery that unfolds slowly but with a an intoxicating atmosphere and gripping performances from a sharp and deliberate Michaela Coel but especially Anne Hathaway who is digging deep for something emotionally vulnerable, raw and physical in her portrayal of a mentally spiraling pop singer. And those songs? As hypnotic as the film’s striking visuals and dazzling costumes. A psychosexual, brooding, and metaphysical two-hander (mostly) between two great actresses, this is a sensational experience that demands repeat viewings to fully unravel its many woven pieces of symbolism and themes. Can’t wait to give myself over to it again and see where it takes me.
