anyways one important thing to say is that gabrielle doesn't hurt lestat On Purpose out of like some carnal desire of seeing him in pain. She does as a feature of their dynamic, clearly, but her thought process isn't "I'm gonna hurt my son". I think her being blissfully unaware+
