If indoor dining is allowed only for the vaccinated - as apparently under consideration- then who’ll serve the food and drink? Because in most places it is the young - probably unvaccinated yet - who’ll do the serving. Accelerated vaccinations for these essential workers? 🤷‍♂️

After the level of vitriol I’ve experienced here for suggesting that maybe we should start a conversation about reopening schools before the holidays, I REALLY feel for politicians. I remember a time when it was possible to debate an idea without nasty personal attacks.

@RTELateLateShow Redundancy is an issue that has not been raised. Will there be any legislation to protect employers or will employers be obliged to pay redundancy to their employees after four weeks of them being laid off, which is currently the law?
