Here is what I'll say about the Jalen Hurts article. He has had 2 competent offensive coordinators in his career. Both left for head coaching positions after Super Bowl seasons.
He has also had 2 incompetent offensive coordinators in his career. Both were first-time NFL playcallers, both went 1 and done, and neither is even a position coach now.
Hurts has limitations. He has preferences. Every QB does. A good OC works with his QB and meets in the middle to find what works for everyone. Two guys did that. Two guys didn't. The results speak for themselves.
If you want to use those preferences to argue that the son of a coach, who also played for Nick Saban, isn't coachable, that's where you lose me.
The article even acknowledges that both Moore and Steichen came in with a plan about how the offense would function, while lines were more blurred with Johnson and Patullo.
I fully expect Mannion to come in with a plan as well and push back on Hurts' preferences when necessary. He doesn't have the clout of being a longtime coach or an experienced playcaller, which does make it a bit of a dice roll.
But Hurts has a relentless work ethic, and after the way last season ended, I'd expect him to be more open to change, especially if it is coming from someone competent.

@ChuxMaranan Anyone with eyes and a lack of agenda against hurts can see that he's an at LEAST average thrower over the middle. Is it is beet throw? No. Is he even the MOST fond with it? Also probably not. He is CLEARLY at least competent at it and can be schemed to do it, preference or not

@RealMamaEagle To me it's a safe bet Jalen ends his career with 2 SB wins and likely SB MVPs. He'll likely also be competing for another AP. Not saying it's a guarantee, but it matches his track record. If that does happen, he'll have damn near HOF success and STILL talk prove it years 😂

I’d run this lineup out until Stott and Marsh prove they can’t hit lefties this season

When you’re drafted 2nd overall (PHI), you’re expected to not suck.
You only consider BOS a real sports city because they had no expectations of you, therefore you weren’t held accountable for the forgettable 10 PPG you averaged there.
I hope this is helpful, Evan!

@K_Cyl @_piccone Prob the sixers tenure, for sure. It was a disgusting experience as a player, for sure. Then I went to Boston and learned what a real sports city was, ya know.

Rolls make a world of difference, this is so real. A freshly bought and lightly toasted Martin's potato bun and a perfectly grilled hotdog in the summer is one of life's great simple joys.

disgusted with each new mlb food abomination when it would just be nice to upgrade to potato rolls or kings hawaiian for the hot dog buns

@ChuxMaranan One of the more underrated things about Westbrook was his contact balance and how he was so well connected to the ground in how he ran. For a smaller guy who clearly wasn't a power back, he was always surprisingly strong

Talking about versatile, dual-threat, multi-purpose, complete RBs…
Brian Westbrook
Both him and Marshall Faulk were ahead of their time. And it’s a shame that many fans who are on social media now are too young to remember how good BWest was.

Andrew Anderson@uscfan981
Name a RB that doesn’t get enough love. I’ll start, Marshall Faulk.

@RealMamaEagle I agree that 2024 was the better team, but I would still love to see this played and I think it would be closer than people think. Doug, for all his faults, was an INCREDIBLE game planner. The battle of wits chess match between him/Reich and Uncle Vic would be incredible to see.

Love the 2017 Eagles. Our first ring. We'll never forget it and it was iconic and special.
But the 2024 team smokes them, I fear.

Who’s better? 2017 Eagles or 2024 Eagles
