The “This Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings” tag IS a legitimate tag. It doesn’t mean there’s no upsetting material. It often means that there probably is, but they don’t want to ruin the suspense. If you choose to read a fic tagged that way, it is very much on you.

@okuuzen "Chose not to use archive warnings" is different than "archive warnings don't apply." The fic author tagged correctly and it's up to the reader to avoid if they get triggered. It's literally in Ao3's terms of service.

@makemestagger While that may be true OP made a very good point. We all know how weird Ao3 is. I think its horrible to mischaracterize your fic especially if they have taboo or illegal tags in them. You can’t just say “hit the back button” what if they stumble onto SA and get triggered??
