I realised today, there is absolutely so much hatred around, religions, cultures,arranged, kids, the role of a man or a woman. I grew up in a simple environment. Male or a female around me did what the family needed not by the rules bestowed upon them.

A truly spritual and religious person who is god loving and not god fearing never ever dared to insult any other faith. Neither people like sayyoni are true hindus nor they respect islam or any other faith. A true belief teaches you to bow down to something bigger than yourself. It makes you humble. Why should India have been on any negotiating table between US and Iran? Don’t get the criticism as it wasn’t our war. And for Pakistan, it is like that tort who for a fee will say it will resolve the crisis- best described by India’s FM in an all party meeting.

5 days of wearing the WHOOP band. Initial reactions: 1) It’s very convenient to wear, it has no display, I have never taken it off, except for bathing. I hate wrist watches, yet this doesn’t bother even during sleeping. 2) It takes its own time. Doesn’t give you anything meaningful for the first 7 days. It calibrates. Notices trend. Sleep monitoring is good. 3) It’s expensive. People pay for accuracy of data + brand. (All cricket players wear it). It does get noticed in public, given Apple Watches have been commoditised. 4) Is it worth? Debatable. Most people (non athletes) need a marker of health, kind of a reassurance, that they are doing fine. And to push them do be disciplined. All this measurement, without paranoia, and without wearing a brick on your wrist. If anything else can give u this at a lesser cost, go for it.

Who is the cooking actually done for? Who should cook at home? Husband or the wife? Our Rishis have given us clear answers for everything, so let us see what Dharma Shastra or our scriptures say Shastra says that the true objective of cooking in the kitchen is NOT for YOU to eat, but for Bhagavan first! Devata pooja is a Nityakarma or a daily duty for all Gruhasthas or married men. The cooked food must always be offered as Neivedya to Bhagavan in your daily pooja and then must be eaten by all family members only after the Pooja is over Shastra says that Annam or food comes on your plate through the divine forces of nature and hence it is compulsory to daily offer Neivedya to Bhagavan in return and then partake the cooked food as Swamy Prasadam Shastra then goes on to say very strictly that if you eat food without offering it as Neivedya first, then it is equivalent to you eating your own feces Now having understood the Shastric tattva of Annam, let us see who is prescribed to do what - Shastra says very clearly that the Neivedya for Bhagavan must be cooked by the lady of the house. But the daily Pooja (in which Neivedya is offered) for the Bhagavan must be done by the man or her husband. Performing daily pooja is a Nityakarma or a daily duty for the husband and not the wife. It is one of the daily nityakarmanushtanas and only HE has to do Pooja. She is supposed to help/ support him by cooking the Neivedya for his pooja The man performs pooja in the pooja room, The woman cooks food in the kitchen. She brings the cooked food to the pooja room for Neivedya which is done by him, When these both respective work are done in tandem, the pooja phala or merit is received by all members of the family, including their children So if your husband forces you to cook daily, then you must ask him in return - "Are you first doing your daily duty of Pooja to Bhagavan? If yes, then I shall daily stand in the kitchen and cook Neivedya for your pooja" What if both the husband and wife are working? The answer is simple. Wake up early and make time for Pooja, Neivedya cooking. Where there's a will, there's a way Everybody has well defined, clear roles in Shastra. No role is any lower or higher than the other. Daampatya or the family or is a well-oiled engine - both husband's and wife's roles are equally crucial for the family vehicle to run and move on ..
