Great Read!
Coach Jennifer Turner@CAASoftballAdv

Slumps happen. Every athlete goes through them. What matters isn’t avoiding them — it’s how you respond when you’re in one. 🥎👇 If you feel stuck right now, start here: 1. Simplify everything Stop overthinking mechanics. Go back to your basics — your stance, your approach, your fundamentals. Confidence comes from clarity. 2. Control what you CAN control • Effort • Energy • Body language • Hustle Even when results aren’t there, these should never drop. 3. Get extra reps (with purpose) Not just more swings or throws — intentional reps. Slow it down. Focus on one thing. Build it back. 4. Watch yourself Film doesn’t lie. Sometimes what you feel isn’t what’s actually happening. Small adjustments can change everything. 5. Lean on your coaches You’re not in this alone. Ask for feedback. Be coachable. Stay open. 6. Win the small moments A hard hit ball. A quality at-bat. A great read in the outfield. Stack small wins — they lead to big confidence. 7. Check your mindset Slumps get worse when you start telling yourself: “I can’t.” “I’m off.” “I’ve lost it.” Replace it with: 👉 “I’m one adjustment away.” 👉 “I’ve done this before.” 👉 “Stay the course.” 8. Remember who you are A slump doesn’t define you. Your work ethic, your attitude, and your response do. ⸻ Every great athlete has been here. The ones who separate themselves? They don’t panic. They adjust, stay consistent, and keep showing up. You’re not as far off as you think. Keep going.

What a beautiful day to catch a game and watch Macie and her teammates on their brand new field. Continue to work hard and lead your teammates by example.
