Drew Hanlen’s work is outstanding. Tatum is a great player, and has played a lot of playoff games. Of course he’s had a bunch of great ones. But he’s had enough below-Tatum-standard games in the playoffs to fairly bring it up in a comparison with Jaylen Brown.

@ChaelSonnen Roy put on 25lbs of muscle to jump to heavyweight and beat Ruiz. Then he melted it off to go back down to light heavy and was never the same — fast, but not like he was, with mush less punch resistance. By the time he fought Calzaghe he’d lost 3x and been KOd twice. Past prime.

See, that’s my disagreement. I feel that was PRIME RJJ and ppl diminished Joe by diminishing RJJ. I got RJJ as GOAT behind Sugar Ray Leonard so i’m not a hater. It’s just what i saw. Let’s ask @maxkellerman to weigh in.

@ChaelSonnen It was a great performance. The reason it’s not discussed that way is likely due to it being against one of the 🐐 who was well past his prime at the time. Prime RJJ would’ve tuned him up.

@MKE_Yusuf Floyd was faster with a better defense, who made fewer mistakes. But Crawford’s boxing IQ is just as high, and at some point in that fight you have to imagine Crawford lands something hard. And he is a big puncher, and a brutal finisher.
