when belle said, “i respect you so much… ang layo mo na, pero malayo ka pa,” it didn’t feel like distance, it felt like depth. coming from her, it carries weight because she knows donny beyond what we see: his heart, his work, who he is when no one’s watching. and when she followed it w how proud she is of the man he is, it wasn’t closing a chapter, it was affirming that she sees his growth, and believes there’s still so much ahead for him. for the both of them. that kind of respect isn’t a fallback, it’s a foundation. and i think that’s beautiful.
