@turr1959 @TheMalaMoragain ICE has worked in Canada for about 10 years My concern is that their role gets temporarily expanded to on site enforcement during World Cup games & the world sees them breaking car windows & yanking people out. They do it at home & I don’t want that visual here

@petermcgregor8 ICE has been working in Canada for about 10 years This works better if you take the time to know what you’re talking about

@mygrandmotherma @deplorable_guy2 @Darth_Pingu Thank you for your input. You’re right My concern is that their role gets temporarily expanded to on site enforcement. The tv coverage of them breaking car windows and yanking people out of cars is not a visual I want for Canada on the international stage

@deplorable_guy2 @michaelstepchuk @Darth_Pingu I'm perfectly aware of that. ICE agents, however, have no legal authority in this country to insert themselves in our sports venues, or anywhere else for that matter, even if the US is participating. Period.

@200369_tina Right now ICE has had a 10 year role working in Canada My concern is that we might temporarily expanded their role to on site enforcement with the tv coverage of people getting yanked out of cars after they break their windows The reputational damage to Canada would be huge

@michaelstepchuk You clearly watch too much TV. Since when did Canada become so nieve? ICE is American, our border is wide open still. That fact is lost to you. Ice is not going to catch anyone who doesn't belong there. Our border let jack the beheader in,and your worried about ICE. Yea

@patriot_chujk Thanks for your input, I know they currently work here. My concern is that their role might be temporarily expanded during the World Cup to on site enforcement with their usual flair for breaking car windows & yanking people out of cars Great tv for the rest of the world

@deplorable_guy2 @igrand5 @RGopher69 @smiley37555 I know their role as you’ve summarized- I just want it to remain contained as such & not expanded temporarily for the World Cup If they had an on site presence & started breaking car windows & yanking people out of cars the reputational damage world wide would be huge for us

@deplorable_guy2 @MacDonaldWalk I understand and respect that. My concern is that ICE stays in the background in an information sharing role. God forbid they have an on site presence & start breaking windows & yanking people out of cars The international reputational damage for us would be immense

@CuOndaFlipside My concern is with the role they will play. If ICE shares information I’m fine with it. If they have an active presence & start breaking windows & yanking people out of cars that’s a non starter for me - the reputational damage to Canada would be huge Have a nice day

@200369_tina Hi Thanks for your input My concern lies with the specific role ICE will play If they assist in an administrative or information sharing role I can accept that If they are an active presence & start breaking car windows & yanking people out of cars thats a non starter

@michaelstepchuk Well considering France has to inform Canadian officials of things happening on Canadian soil from overseas says alot about Canada. You believe there are zero bad apples in Canada today. Trust in a corrupt government says alot about how dumb The population is. Who cares? You do

@michaelstepchuk Are they going to be allowed to carry around what is known in Canada as restricted weapons ?? Also will they be allowed to wear masks? Also my guess is some of them wouldn't be allowed to enter because some probably have criminal records.

@MullerMall40998 @MacDonaldWalk Thanks very much for that information. My issue is that outside those offices I don’t want them running around World Cup venues bothering all the foreign guests. Imagine them breaking car dragging people out of cars like they do now? Canada’s reputation is on display

@MacDonaldWalk @michaelstepchuk This is what I found… “Yes, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) maintains a presence in Canada through its Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) branch, with offices in five cities: Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, and Ottawa…

@TheMalaMoragain @uranoutofluck Thanks for that insight. The IS consulate is US soil technically so that may be why but in my view if they have no business being one foot off that property. Do you know why they ate there? Are illegal immigrants try I g to break into that facility??

@michaelstepchuk @uranoutofluck Sadly, there are ICE in Toronto already down at the Us Consulate off University. This is why they are demanding to have access to the city. It cannot be allowed. They would legitimately kill innocent Canadians or tourists just because. Then they would demand diplomatic immunity.
