@EU_Cybertruck @CattardSlim I, just like every American across the country, don't want to be taken advantage of by big business. It's happened in the past, and we're just reluctant for sure. I go back to my original comment. We can only hope they are self-sustaining.
I appreciate the debate, sir.
English

@mstroodl @CattardSlim From my understanding the state and local governments did not want us there I wasn’t involved then. Texas Louisiana and Arkansas has made every effort to streamline the process. Good leadership is key and I’m sure every legal requirement is fulfilled or they can take us to court.
English

@EU_Cybertruck @CattardSlim The thing is, the ones that have been built already ruined the reputation of future builds. People pay attention to what has happened in the past, then are reluctant to believe that the big corporation is going to look out for you after screwing over residents in several states.
English

@mstroodl @CattardSlim Yeah Russian and Chinese disinformation campaigns hurting average Americans what else is new? People freak out make them impossible to build bills come due community goes broke when it could have been rich the kremlin loves it.
English

@EU_Cybertruck @CattardSlim Awesome; so NOW Google is "planning" to make right with people AFTER screwing over hundreds of people in Iowa by finally building self sustaining infrastructure elsewhere.
So what is Google going to do for the people it made promises to, and then screwed over in Iowa?
English

@mstroodl @CattardSlim No we haven’t even started construction yet no one is being screwed yet on any I’m overseeing good lord so much BS. We are doing power then data centers it’s almost like people spent years planning this out and working with utilities to scale.
English

@mstroodl @CattardSlim I work for Google live in Houston and help oversee data centers construction as part of my role I haven’t seen one design that’s not closed loop yet. Our older ones yes but anything past 5 years have all been 90% self contained.
English

@EU_Cybertruck @CattardSlim We would all love to read the article about it.
English

@PeterJEymard @CattardSlim Chill out Jeeves. If you look at several of my posts in the past; I've been speaking out against Data Centers for quite some time.
English

@mstroodl @CattardSlim "We can only hope"
How can you be so uninformed?
Are you not following this progression to Agend 2030?
No wonder these are being built.
Where are ADULTS doing their homework?
The next generation will hate us.
English

@mstroodl @CattardSlim The large amounts of water hasn’t been true for awhile it’s a self contained system on any modern data center. Google’s centers in Louisiana, East Texas and Arkansas are going to have their own power plants that I’ve helped oversee.
English

@EU_Cybertruck @CattardSlim "are going to". Means they are screwing you now. This should have been their first priority. Also; provide the article where data centers don't use fresh water. Because everything I read; data centers currently use 80% fresh water.

@CattardSlim We can only hope they are "community friendly" and are generating their own power to prevent a shock to local utility prices.
Large data centers consume a large amount of water and electricity.
There have even been people complaining they can hear a "buzzing" living near them
