#Day38 #100DaysOfCode (really more but I haven’t been recording my progress 🤦🏻‍♂️) - I’m working my way through making a game using pygame as part of the #PythonCrashCourse book. Still building up skills in Excel and Power Query too, which has been great for automation at work 🤓👨🏻‍💻

#Day36 #Day37 #100DaysOfCode Carried on working with files and exceptions in #Python. Used @gutenberg_org to read in text files and count to check for common words in Crime and Punishment. Today I looked at json for the first time and started looking at testing

#Day35 #100DaysOfCode covered some more bits around error handling 😊 pretty cool stuff so far, just played around with a basic function with error handling for text entry

#Day33 & #Day34 #100DaysOfCode working on files and exceptions in #Python Pretty cool to do 👨🏻‍💻

#Day32 #100DaysOfCode finished covering using class in #Python Also covered some bits around importing classes as a refresher Next up, the Files and Exceptions chapter 🤓 I’ve added learn to code as a work objective, so now I have a professional reason to deliver 👨🏻‍💻

#Day30 #100DaysOfCode began going over classes in #Python. Used ChatGPT to break some bits down for me, but happy with progress to date 👨🏻‍💻 also flying through Power Query upskilling at work which is another cool skill to have

#Day29 #100DaysOfCode finished the functions exercises in #Python Crash Course. Reading the chapter back over just to shore up my understanding

#Day28 #100DaysOfCode continuing with #Python Crash Course, working through Functions. Not remembering this topic as well as I hoped, so going to reread it tomorrow. Going forward, going to start coding exercises closer to the time I read the material

#Day27 #100DaysOfCode completed exercises on obtaining user input and while loops in #Python Been guilty of letting life get in the way of learning to code (moving into my first house, childcare, being lazy) etc etc - recommitting to completing this challenge

Today I also (finally) sat an exam for a work qualification around project management - which I passed 🥳 followed up with some #python exercises on getting user input and data type conversions

#Day26 #100DaysOfCode I finished my dictionary exercises and checked my exercises done so far against sample answers online. Whilst right, my code can definitely be refactored to be neater and smaller, which is something to consider going forwards 👨🏻‍💻

#Day25 #100DaysOfCode worked through exercises on #Python dictionaries. Good to refresh on key, value in dictionary.items() when looping through. Can’t believe I’m a quarter of the way through the challenge already!

My exam for work didn’t go ahead today, so it’ll be limited coding for the next few days until I sit (or pass) the exam

#Day24 #100DaysOfCode ran through a load of #Python conditional logic exercises. Feeling pretty confident, as I didn’t need to refer back to the chapter/my notes to complete them 😃

#Day22 #100DaysOfCode worked on some more #Python exercises on lists, tuples and conditional tests I’ve got an exam for a qualification at work coming up, so not quite as much coding time as I’d like

#Day22 #100DaysOfCode - back from holiday and getting back to it! Started by updating my journal with the progress I made whilst on holiday. Then I eased back into it by working through some #Python exercises focusing on lists

#Day21 #100DaysOfCode I looked at Methods, Inheritance and polymorphism in #Python Doing some reading around ultra learning - when I get back from holiday it’s definitely something I’d like to implement in my journey going forwards

#Day20 #100DaysOfCode #Python Looked at list comprehensions, the map and filter functions, lambda and classes. Aiming to finish the course today
