♦️Roy Keane in the alternate universe where he doesn’t want Luis Enrique at United: “Luis Enrique? Nah, not for me. The lad’s too intense, too much of a winner. He’d sort the dressing room, demand standards, and actually win trophies. Then what am I supposed to do on Sky Sports every week? Sit there smiling saying ‘well done’? Fuck that. Give me the soft lads and the excuses – that’s where the fun is.” Keane needs the chaos to rant about! Board, get Enrique anyway.

I once saw a man return money that nobody knew he had taken. It was at a small supermarket. The cashier was arguing with a customer over a missing ₦2,000. Voices were raised. People gathered. The usual. The customer kept insisting, “I gave you the money!” The cashier swore she never saw it. After a few minutes, the man behind him in line quietly stepped forward. He placed ₦2,000 on the counter and said, “It fell when he was paying. I picked it.” Everyone turned. The customer looked confused. The cashier went silent. Someone asked, “So why didn’t you say it earlier?” The man shrugged and said something I’ve never forgotten: “I wanted to see if I would keep it.” No one spoke after that. He just paid for his items and left as if nothing had happened. But the tension in that store changed. It wasn’t about ₦2,000 anymore. It was about the moment he chose who he wanted to be. 👉 If nobody had found out would you have returned it?

@Vfynn_ @EazyUTD So we actually were very wrong all these years, comparing him to some of the greatest strikers of the PL era? Wow, that is very refreshing to know. Bum.

🚨 Ian Wright tips a potential Arsenal double as the greatest achievement in British football history: 🗣️ “If Arsenal go on and win both the Champions League and the Premier League this season, that’s the greatest achievement British football has ever seen. Full stop. And I know people will start shouting about City, United, Liverpool, Chelsea… all these ‘eras’ everyone goes on about. But let’s be honest, those teams weren’t coming off a drought like this. Arsenal have spent years being laughed at, written off, called nearly-men, bottlers… you name it. And now you’re telling me they could rise from that and conquer Europe AND England in the same season? That’s different gravy. Man City? Unbelievable team, yeah but they’ve had endless money, squad depth, dominance year after year. Manchester United? They built dynasties over time. Liverpool and Chelsea had their peaks with experienced, battle-hardened squads. Arsenal? This is a young team, written off time and time again, suddenly going toe-to-toe with Europe’s elite and potentially winning it all. And don’t even get me started on Spurs, what ‘era’ are we even talking about there? This would hit harder because of the context. Years without a league title. Years without European glory. Fans being mocked every single season. To go from that to doing the double at this level? That’s not just success, that’s redemption on the biggest stage imaginable. People won’t want to admit it because it’s Arsenal. It’ll hurt them. But deep down, they’ll know, it doesn’t get bigger than that.”

This should be condemned by everyone. Sometimes when people express these sentiments, it may seem like they’re overreacting, but a deeper look reveals a serious problem. How can an Oshodi-Isolo representative claim to be promoting human capital development, yet 15 out of the 18 people sent to China were Igbo, and 8 out of the 9 sent to South Africa were also Igbo. How do you even explain that? Dr Jarius Abba was even sent to China and South Africa. Are there no indigenous people from Oshodi-Isolo who could benefit from this representation? Not even people from other tribes living in Oshodi-Isolo? Actions like this create these sentiments and tensions, and then people act surprised. You could have massively invested in the indeginious people and then few other residents. Thats how to build natural love and trust. This is not okay.

Dear @KokunFoundation A gentle reminder to you and other Assnal supporters: coming close and bottling it is not the same as actually winning the Champions League. Real Madrid is the greatest football team in history. 15 Champions League trophies. On the other hand, Assnal, the London bottlers, have reached just one Champions League final in their entire history and haven't won the Premier League in over two decades. We will remind you again on the 31st of May, 2026. While at it, keep your environment clean, especially your dirty Emirate stadium. TW

So, it was in Decemeber, I was coming into Ibadan from Abeokuta. At the Ogere Old toll gate, I stopped to buy a bottle of water and some kolanut cos I was feeling sleepy behind steering. While at that, this young man came up to me asking for a lift to Ibadan. He said he was on his way to Abuja but was robbed somewhere between Agbara and Mile 2 where he was to board a night bus to Abuja. He said he was an IT guy. He claimed that all his belongings were collected in a One-Chance bus he boarded. You know that kind of story naa. Anyways, I asked him to enter (after he has shown me his NIN, ID card etc.) and I drove him to Ibadan. At Ibadan, I was not comfortable just dropping him off on the road side without any clear direction of how he will get to his destination at Abuja and it was going to get dark soon. So, I took him to the park by Deeperlife after the Gbagi market . Later we went to the ABC park opposite Nigerian Breweries but we couldn't get a bus to take him to Abuja. Since I had an appointment at my sister's Med Lab clinic around the Alakia axis, I went there with him. I told my sister his predicament and she too was worried about his state and fate. Infact, he took permission to use their bathroom to freshen up, which was granted. As we left my sister's place, I drove him straight to the Gov. Seyi Makinde terminus one at Iwo Road where we found a bus loading to set out for Abuja on a night trip. There I booked a seat for him at 20k, the front seat to be precise for which I paid 2k extra. I withdrew 30k from a POS around and handed it over to him to pay for the bus and have some change for food and stuff on the way. I then asked for the drivers number so that i can be able to track him (as a big brother that I have now become to him) on the way to Abuja. The Driver first showed reluctance but after explaining myself that I was just helping him and in the course of doing so, I have used my phone to call a number he called his sister's but was not picked. I had also texted the number explaining the situation of the boy and asking her to call me back. I said I need to provide evidence that I dropped him for a bus on its way to Abuja. Finally, the driver agreed and gave me his number and I also gave him my number and I left the park. That was around 6.30 pm on that fateful day. Then, at about 8pm, the bus driver called me that they can't find the boy I dropped for him to take to Abuja and that the boy did not pay for the seat but just vanished shortly after I left with the excuse that he wanted to go and get something solid to eat. That was how the boy vanished with my 30k, my trust and my sense of assisting a downtrodden, poor, exploited and abused individual. I laughed when I received that call. Why I laughed was that some part of me suspected that this whole story was not adding up but I had said to myself, if he had to go this far to create an alibi, the fact still remains that he is deficient, needy and disadvantages. That he was robbed by me? No, of course. I never had such feeling. I had considered the money and the time I invested as a seed sown, knowing fully well that it's all about sowing what to reap, not where you sowed. Till date, I have never felt a sense of loss for the 30k I gave him and can't feel it cos I was not pained. I only pray that he meets Christ and repent of his evil ways. I really still wish to see him again and show him some more love. In case you know him or meet him, please tell him that his sins were forgiven before he even dared commited it. True story. © Obajide Ilugbo
