it’s not just what they omit that makes a movie feel shallow, it’s also what they include and how it’s paced. things get shown briefly then it’s onto the next like a checklist, nothing gets REALLY explored.

A problem with this fan base is that some fans do genuinely believe that Mike was a Peter Pan book carrying, Disney obsessed man child. He was much more complex and I wish the film had shown that more as it does feel like it partly reinforces the stereotypes people already have.
