A disturbing case from 2019 involving this man named Asiwaju has resurfaced online, drawing public attention again. Asiwaju, who was considered one of the notable faces on Twitter at the time, said he met a girl at the club and spent over 500k on drinks. They both got high and later had sex in his car. A lady identified as Blessing Osom, whom he had an encounter with, came out with rape allegations and it escalated fast. She didn’t stop there, she brought in another girl to back the story and make it more believable, heating up the case even more. The girl allegedly started blackmailing and extorting Asiwaju, severely affecting his reputation and mental well being. Amid the growing controversy, his mother suffered a heart attack after learning about the allegations, an event he believed contributed to her death. Overwhelmed by the combination of public backlash, personal loss and emotional distress, Asiwaju tragically took his own life later that same year.

We were having breakfast in his house for the first time. I was trying to behave like a future wife. You know, sit well, smile, act composed. He made tea and brought bread. I was impressed. “Ah, this man is serious,” I thought.
The bread was hot and soft. I poured my tea, tore a piece, and dipped it inside. Peacefully. Innocently.
He stopped chewing.
He looked at my hand, then at my face, then back at the bread like he was witnessing a documentary.
“You dip bread inside tea?” he asked.
I laughed. “Yes now, it’s sweeter that way.” I dipped another one to prove my point.
He dropped his cup. “That is a bush way of eating. It is only local babes that dip bread inside tea.”
I thought he was joking. I said, “Wait, you haven’t even seen when I soak it well well.”
He leaned back like I had just confessed to a crime. “No, I can’t. This won’t work. I like classy women.”
Classy women… because of bread.
He stood up, carried his cup to the kitchen, and said, “You can finish it if you want.”
I quietly dipped another piece and continued eating. If relationship go, breakfast must not go.
