I'm not even anti the name, I know virtually nothing about him. However, I do know there is a vocal cohort inside the building that didn't want him, there's a large donor who preferred another candidate, and of the other names he is the least likely to bring players with him

One thing about BC that the basketball coach search shows me is that they have always been bad about controlling the narrative. X is going wild and a few well placed leaks supporting a candidate can go far. At this point we are at Murray or a Jonestown reaction in the fanbase.

I’ve thought about this for a bit, and I don’t think I’m completely sold here. Maybe it’s different at the P5 level, but hiring someone to satisfy a donor and get more money doesn’t make success a guarantee, even when it should (see Iona, MAAC)
