@MSidhuLiberal @liberal_party To take advantage of those trade deals we'd first need a product to sell. Nothing gets built here. Lots of planning, though, endless planning, endless "commitments", endless red tape and hand-wringing.

The message at the @liberal_party Convention in Montreal was clear: Canada is open for business and we are attracting investments and signing trade agreements at speeds never seen before.

Now that the astronauts are home safe, I have an opinion id like to share: Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy should be the crew for Artemis IV. The whole world has fallen in love with this crew, and that could go a long way if they return for the landing.

Well this is fucked … The ringleader of the $22M Toronto Pearson gold heist has been sentenced to only 4 years in prison. Good behaviour, out in 18 months. For those who missed the story: in April 2023, a shipment containing roughly 400 kg of gold bars and millions in foreign currency arrived at cargo facilities at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Using a fraudulent airway bill, a truck driver simply showed up, the cargo was loaded by forklift, and the truck drove away. $22 million - gone! Arsalan Chaudhary, has been sentenced to just four years and ordered to pay restitution that will never be recovered. Let’s discuss what message this sends. If you steal $22 million, help plan the largest gold heist in Canadian history, and the likely time actually served ends up being closer to a year or two, that is not deterrence. That is a risk calculation. Organized crime does the math. Huge upside. Hardly any downside. When the punishment for high-value organized theft is measured in months not years, the justice system sends the exact opposite signal it’s meant too. Deterrence only works when the consequences outweigh the reward. Organized criminals asks themselves “Is the score worth the risk?” I’m gonna say to most, 18 months in jail definitely worth $22M.

@retjabra Valid. But I think Canada is worse overall. At least your country made someone smart enough to complain about the right things. And most important: your families are strong. Here almost no one even wants to have kids.

@probablyGF Trust me, im sick waiting 6 hrs just to pass the border, and to be a regime member just to get a job, or to hear from the minister that the police have the right to kill people on the street who don't agree with the warmonger regime, or to call me ustasha (nazi)...

Serbia has three choices: 1. Join Europe - start slowly winning; 2. Stay between Russia and Europe - continue passively losing; 3. Join Russia - actively lose. For 1 to happen, vote for pro-EU parties. For 2 to happen, continue electing national-populists. For 3 to happen, vote nationalists.

@retjabra Trust me, I'm asking myself that too. Canada is ass. The only thing not ass is my house. And I like snowmobiling. Canada is worse than every country I've visited in last 4 years. Nothing happens here. Nothing. Zero. Other than lots of whining. Ignorant and self-entitled idiots.

One thing I'll admittedly miss about Trump when he's gone is all his market manipulation. Great for investors. As someone else pointed out: Trump even put the ticker this time.

@FranciscoSpace5 No where do you talk about current market cap, projected revenue growth in 2026, etc. FLY is the better investment IMHO. And oh yeah, which one landed on the moon? Which one can send a satellite into space on 24h notice? Which one is cheap, trading below its IPO price?

🚀 Rocket Lab $RKLB vs Firefly Aerospace $FLY Quick Breakdown (April 2026)Launch Record & Cadence: Rocket Lab dominates-83+ Electron launches, Firefly: only 7 Alpha launches total with 4 failures, lower reliability, still building cadence Space Systems / Components: Rocket Lab wins big - $403M revenue from satellites, buses, solar arrays, avionics, Reaction Wheels, Star trackers, etc. (bigger than its launch revenue). Firefly has growing space systems but much smaller scale (~$160M total revenue in 2025). Vertical Integration: Rocket Lab has proven it at a bigger scale. Firefly too (launch + landers + OTVs). Who supplies the other? Rocket Lab sells components & software to Firefly (solar panels + MAX flight/ground software, separation systems, star trackers,, for Blue Ghost lunar lander). Better overall space play? Rocket Lab is more mature, reliable execution, bigger backlog, diversified revenue. Safer bet today. I dont want to see another stupid comparison saying FLY is better. IT IS NOT. You are lying to yourself. stop it.

So this EU thing doesn't seem to be going away. Now imagine the following scenario. Enough MPs cross the floor to give Carney a majority. He then turns around and unilaterally decides that Canada should join the EU. Is that really so far out of the realm of possibility?

The guy arrested for firing 14 bullets into a Jewish-owned restaurant, DURING PASSOVER, has a name. Mohamed Mahdi. It’s in the Toronto Police news release. CBC didn’t use it. CTV didn’t use it. Global didn’t use it. Canadian Press didn’t use it. Every major Canadian outlet quoted the police release. Every one of them omitted the name that was IN the release. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence 🙄
