How are there two completely unrelated pictures of 70s directors fully swagged out and ready to blaspheme.

What I love about Exorcist remakes is how they progressively remove any sense of elegance or mystique from the original movie. I mean, who needs that shit?

Snowbeast is a pretty dumb movie yet somewhat entertaining for how dreadfully low-grade it is. And its conclusion is completely underwhelming. Naturally I can't recommend it highly enough.

Clint Walker is in Snowbeast too, playing the sheriff charged to destroy snowbeast and preserve the sanctity of the ski fields. He adds to the hulking beefcake component. Probably his best role after Killdozer*, a movie about a bulldozer that kills. (*better than it sounds)

Yvette Mimieux is in Snowbeast too. Initially I didn't twig to her as she wasn't as blonde as she is in most other movies I've seen. In fact Bo Svenson was blonder. Very sneaky of Yvette to go under the radar like that. Anyway, her performance in this dumb movie wasn't the worst.

The punchline here of course being I expect zero creativity from Snowbeast. But, hey, I'm not confident of anything I say with any humorous intent here being received that way anymore. So let's just leave that there.

I had the great pleasure of watching the extremely below-average Jaws knockoff Snowbeast last night. Yet I was a bit disappointed that Bo *Svenson's* character was named *Seberg*. I mean, come on, that's pretty lazy. I expect more creativity than that if I'm watching Snowbeast.

We have more depth now but not enough to match it with strong sides when too many of our first selection players are out. I’m concerned though at Nicks’ inability to get the team firing from the word go.

@Adelaide_FC Rinse and repeat. We just can’t get it done against seasoned opposition. Blinded by the big game spotlight again. The umpiring was questionable but you make your own luck and we give up too many soft goals. Nicks needs to get ruthless.

It was only recently I twigged that Joanna played Bob Hoskins' sweetheart in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Bit of a switchup from Zhora the lethal replicant.

Also the Cugel stories demonstrate that you can do high fantasy and make it funny. I lost track of how many times I'd chortle at the fiendish situations Vance would devise for Cugel to showcase his rare talent for ineptitude, with always amusingly disastrous consequences.

There's a Cugel story where he literally eats Time for lunch and freaks a wizard out. Cugel is an adorable fuckup who mistakenly thinks the world of his own limited abilities. He's like a Dunning-Kruger case in fantasy pantaloons. These stories need to be put onto the screen.

Harry Potter reboots, Lord of the Rings reboots, and we haven't yet produced a series based on Jack Vance's Dying Earth or Cugel the Clever saga. The Cugel stories are basically tonally like Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, just more weirdly fanciful. People would eat it up now.
