@CaseyExplosion My favourite type of narrative is when a protagonist who already has all the skills they need defeats their enemy handily and nobody changes or learns anything. Every movie should be 20 minutes tops.

You've also got to wilfully ignore the entire idea of underdog narratives, something extremely common in storytelling, like have you seen/read/heard/played any media in general?

Yes. Because brute force NEVER kills a Predator. Raw skill does. Exploiting the Predator's weaknesses, setting traps, not engaging head-on... Fighting on its terms always results in defeat.

@hannaweeny @latkedelrey The worst thing about covid was that I couldn't even sleep to escape from it. Couldn't even get a little joy from eating something nice because everything tasted like shit.

I put a lot of work into this thread to show immigrants not over-represented as murderers of women in Ireland.
Among the hundreds of racists I blocked, in the comments and QT's, a common complaint was the exclusion of manslaughter and insanity.
"Show that!", they say.
Ok. /1
Danny Boy@Care2much18
"42% of murders of women in Ireland is done by the 9% that are migrant men" is a made-up statistic. It's spread to dehumanise immigrants as 'savages'. I've compiled real stats on murders of women in Ireland, including prior criminal records, to counter this hatred and lies. /1

gpt recommended I call a method I hadn't heard of in a library I'm using. so I googled it. 1 other result.
turns out, it doesn't exist. gpt hallucinated it. but someone had asked about it on github... because an llm had hallucinated the same method name before.
it begins.

2023 will be the last time we ever got to experience a semantically lossless internet. From now on we face a creeping tide of machine hallucinations, collapsing all human knowledge toward common patterns like a gradually oncoming digital Mandela effect

@jrobros40 @taraxrh Two of them look defiant or disdainful and the other one looks like she's afraid she's about to get shot.

@TheRightCant Every comic I see of his makes less sense than the last. Are they part of some longer sequence or has he just lost his mind?
