Can't stress enough how useful it is to look at open source engine projects (ie Unreal, Godot etc.) when making a game engine, the amount of knowledge and code that stood the test of time written by experienced developers alone should be enough for people to at least consider.

This took FAR longer than I would like to admit... rewriting my simple water system to no longer use colliders to get walls, but instead voxelizes the scene every frame and transfer that to the wall texture also means I can do moving stuff ALSO fully pathtraced using truetrace

Moved back to MSYS2 + MinGW from Visual Studio and MSVC, couldn't bear the amount of small issues and bugs in the IDE and the lack of clarity in the compiler. Also because I prefer a more minimalist approach.
