But I've got an issue with the host @roadguyrob. He sits on the shoulder to demonstrate the British Army's solution to slow down the Nazi Army. The demonstration could've been conducted with him sitting on the sidewalk instead of the shoulder of the road.

Great video. That city could've placed greenery to change the traffic flow and separate vehicles from bicyclists and pedestrians. But of course money likely stood in the way of that. youtu.be/hETXvywRDsk

@DFlashmann I tried to, but got frustrated at how small of a "box" they put me in. (Played SimCity 4 modded with NAM since '03. My region was 20 million all through low-density suburban sprawl lol)

@JenMontgomery84 @notjustbikes @CityBeautifulYT The current plan is a bit disappointing. Too much parking in the middle (versus on the edges by the freeways). Blocks are too big to feel like a walkable "urban village." Not nearly enough density. Utah has a chance to do something BIG. They should do something BIG.

@LS3VEN @twcau My problem isn't a big highway. Some just need to be big. It's when designers just assume nobody on foot will try to cross it. Or, assume everyone can share one side -- making the walk needlessly long. We were born with feet, not wheels. lol

@chrismarion100 I'm looking all over town on Google Maps and can't find that corner. Too many curvy roads, lol! That's certainly a cheap way to indicate the road curves (as opposed to installing proper chevron signs). I'd think it would be a temporary fix, but... since 2018, you say? Wow.

@stevenathan320 Land use: US suburbs use a network of increasingly higher-speed collectors/arterial roads to operate (We MUST STOP ignoring pedestrians in our designs) But wishing suburbs & major collectors would "go away" (& teasing tools to improve xwalks) is not problem-solving!
