Such violence is a direct attack on peace, public safety, and the harmony of our society. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Their loss is deeply painful and felt by all. Those responsible must be brought to justice without delay.

I joined Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri @YKhemchandSingh , Hon’ble Home Minister Shri @KonthoujamG , and respected MLA Shri Thongam Shanti in meeting the family members and representatives of the JAC of the Tronglaobi incident today at the Chief Minister’s official bungalow. Strongly condemn the tragic martyrdom of Constable Mithun Mandal (170 Bn, BSF), who was fatally injured by a bullet from an unknown direction while on patrol at Mongkot Chepu, Ukhrul today. He succumbed at RIMS, Imphal. A brave son of West Bengal, his sacrifice in the line of duty will never be forgotten. My deepest condolences to his bereaved family.
