One year ago today I bought my CloneX twin🥹 still holding the three I minted back in '21 but acquiring this one was just so special to me💘 @RTFKT

As a creator, the one thing I used to live for was the recognition for not just my style, but for my progress and consistency. I’ve found that without this, the drive to share fades Ive seen a lot of things these last 2 years, not take things personal. But this is how we learn.

GM @RTFKT fam! ☀️🫶🏼 I was scrolling through my phone/computer and found a treasure trove of old RTFKT gems—pre-Clone, pre-Nike. You’re in for a ride. My first offer is that I bet only 1 out of 100 will read all of this, but hey, here’s a piece of RTFKT history. More posts to come, so hit follow for some OG stories! 😁 Here’s the Space Drip intro poster from the original designs. The shoes went through two design changes—one before and one after the @Nike acquisition. The supply also increased from 100 to 500. I think I snagged around 70 capsules split between Space Drip and Space Drip 1.2, from a total supply of 500 😂 My mission was simple: catch them all. Why? Two reasons: 1. The designs were amazing, and as a sneakerhead who loves supporting new artists, it was the perfect combo. 2. RTFKT had a collaboration with @ParisHilton at the time, where she designed a 1 of 1 piece that would be airdropped to the first person who collected all 18 original designs. It was a tight race, mostly between me and my OG @defianceworks. We all traded among ourselves, and trust was high, so we skipped the @opensea fees and just transferred the Drips and ETH directly. No scammers. No bad vibes. It was pure fun and good vibes—a completely different environment from today. (tbf, sorry for that, I’m a supporter of royalties for creators🥺) For those who don’t know, these Drips came in capsules that you had to open, kind of like Animus eggs. The odds of pulling a specific Drip were equal, except for @clegfx's design, which had a slightly lower pull rate. But that’s not what happened 😂 Whether it was the code or the odds, no one managed to pull a @visionofviii, which meant no one could complete the full set—unless they were willing to keep buying those insanely high-priced unopened capsules and hope for the best. So, I made a high-IQ move and contacted Viii directly. RTFKT had gifted all the artists their own Space Drip as a thank-you, and I struck a deal with Viii, bought his, and managed to complete the full set. That landed me the 1/1 Paris Hilton Space Drip! 🥳 This screenshot of the original space drip poster is from March 2021 and was updated shortly after with a revised supply
