Youth pastors: The most important part of your ministry is not your message. It is your presence. It may sound off -but- if you don't invest in those relationships, they won't take in your message. Students remember who showed up for them. #StudentMinistry #YouthMinistry

Most runners set one type of goal — a finish time. There are three more that matter just as much. I made a free 3-page guide that teaches all four and gives you the worksheet to fill them in before your next training cycle. DM me GOALS and it's yours. #running

@Jennnyyyyyy Take the first number and multiply it by twice the second number to get the 3rd number. 10 x (5x2)=100 3 x (6x2) = 36 9 x (3x2) = 54 Bottom middle box is 3... but only if you want the right answer

@Jennnyyyyyy 18 kg. Unless he ATE the deer... the other lion got mad and left then we'd be talking about 28 kg on that scale.

The last 6 months have been inconsistent. I got away from the routine because... life. Today was a step back in the right direction. Working through MAF training. Slower than I’d like, but right where I need to be. This is a great place to begin of you're getting started.

One thing 30 years in student ministry has taught me: Consistency beats creativity. You do not have to be the most dynamic. You need to be present. People over programs. Invest in relationships! #YouthMinistry #StudentMinistry If you are a youth pastor or know one here on X. Let me know!

@geoffcocanower True! Our rhythm in student ministry is to have me speak about 60% of the time +/- and have a mixture of our high school resident, church elders, Christian school campus pastor, next gen Pastor. Healthy mixture of leaders speaking into a developed teaching plan. Same for our MS.

Student Pastors who aren’t actively putting other voices in front of their students aren’t building the Church up; they’re building their own church. Grateful for these men investing in our high school and middle school students with their teaching gifts tonight!

Youth pastors: If you are out there, drop your church and city below! I'd love to know you, learn from, and be an encouragement to you! Let’s help each other find connections. (If you know a youth pastor on X... let me know so I can follow!)

I built a free 7-day prayer journal specifically for runners. One page per day. A scripture, prayer prompts, and a training log strip at the top. Seven themes — Gratitude, Surrender, Perseverance, Identity, Community, Purpose, and Hope. It's yours for free. DM me the word JOURNAL and I'll send it over. #running #faith

To the youth pastors who keep going every week: You need to know that what you do matters! Students may not say it now. But they will remember you later. #YouthMinistry #StudentMinistry Also... if you are a youth pastor or know of one on X, let me know! I would love to follow!

My synopsis on 1 John 4:1-6. Don’t just hear something and assume it’s true. Put weight on it. See if it holds.

@HSMPClub @omgsidewalks Not much of a Starbucks guy. Now 7 Brew? But No, more like early mornings, open Bible, and quiet prayer. Nothing flashy. Just consistent time with Him. ...and yes, daily.

@oyompe @omgsidewalks You are so right... Proverbs 10:19 — “When words are many, transgression is not lacking…” Proverbs 17:28 — “Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise…” James 1:19 — “Quick to hear, slow to speak…” Eccl. 5:2 — “Be not rash with your mouth… let your words be few.”

If I was going to develop a plan tomorrow to unify our state with a conservative mindset but a heart for the city… this is where I would start: • Real safety • Lower cost of living • Raise up local leaders • Respect urban communities • Build trust before asking for votes Serve neighborhoods first. Then earn influence. Local leadership matters more than ever.

The AP has called the Virginia vote on redistricting. It looks like “Yes” will win around 52–48. That result does not reflect a 10–1 district breakdown, but that is where this likely heads. Before anyone reacts too quickly, it’s worth remembering: the system being replaced was approved by about 65% of Virginia voters and passed with overwhelming bipartisan support in both the House and Senate. From my POV... here’s the bigger issue: The conservative messaging leading up to this vote never focused on bringing people together. It didn’t reach young moderates or those open to a real conversation. Instead, it leaned heavily on drawing lines and labeling fellow Virginians as enemies. That approach doesn’t persuade. It reinforces sides. It turns many, many young people off to politics and engaging in civic duty. I believe this is a bad move for Virginia. I also believe people who voted differently than I did are not the problem. I love you guys. We’ve gotten lazy in how we engage. Too much roasting, too many echo chambers, not enough real conversation. If Virginia is going to move toward something truly fair in 2030, the messaging has to change. It has to be better, more thoughtful, and more grounded in persuasion rather than division. This should have been a much clearer conversation.
