@MyODFW Wow! Thanks. No one guessed crows, so that was a surprise.

@ryanjyoder Yep, the biologist agrees that these seem more like crows. There are some individuals that are closer to the camera and you can see slower wing flaps more common to crows.

@MyODFW Could you settle an argument for us? Could this be a colony of bats or not? This was filmed a couple days ago shortly after sunset in downtown Portland.

I was part of the internal Trump administration team trying to convince the president to end the shutdown in 2018 - 2019 — for 35 days — before people went hungry, workers lost pay, and government services collapsed. Here’s what I learned: he doesn’t give a shit.

"True democracy is a safety valve to let a youthful populace register their desire for change. The alternative is that they gravitate toward violence or even terrorism. Biya has found a way to stay on, but ... demographics mean that change is inevitable." washingtonpost.com/opinions/2025/…

The situation in Cameroon is set to seriously escalate in the coming days. Either the government will start to crumble or repression will rapidly worsen. De-escalation seems far away.

You guys want to use the exceptions to make the rule? There is a direct link between diet and weight, discipline and fitness. Leave sick people out of this. You know very well that you are not sick.

I honestly can't wrap my head around this news. I spoke to Muhammed just two weeks ago. He was so kind, and so sure everything would be alright in the end. He had so much faith El Fasher would survive.

Most of the rest of the country acted like the anglophone crisis was not their problem. Now the same crisis has been used to keep the regime in place. It turns out it was all our problem.

Mass slaughter in Sudan, Jihadists are taking over the Sahel, Ethiopia on the brink of war, Mogadishu slowly getting surrounded, major uprising in Cameroon Europe continues to ignore the situation across Africa & can expect a refugee crisis that far exceeds 2015/16 because of it

So October 27 Cameroon’s election results will be formally announced. If I thought it would be an honest announcement I’d stay up all night - but based on history I’m not optimistic. God grant that I’m wrong and peace and justice will reign in that great nation.

Donc please stop lying to us. We aren’t that stupid. #BringBackOurInternet

It’s confirmed: Cameroon 🇨🇲 government has cut off internet in certain localities and reduced internet capacity in others in an effort to maintain 92 yr old Biya in power, after he lost elections. #KeepitOn
