@JessicaSacher @MotherOfPhage Didn't really compare it to other instruments but at some point we did bring in another version of it; I think the SpectroStar (?) thinking we might use the cuvette port but we actually found its readings =/= the ClarioStar in terms of reproducing our TKA stuff. (2/2)

@JessicaSacher @MotherOfPhage We had a notion to use the injection system but didn't get around to setting that up haha. Honestly it's just been a real simple to set up workhorse in the lab and I quite like how sensitive it is for either OD/fluorescence. We use it for everything from TKA to EU quant kits. 1/2

What are people's favourite plate readers for bacterial growth kinetics assays? (We want it for high throughput phage killing assays, looking at area under the curve for bacteria grown over 18-20 h) Tecan Spark? Spectrostar Omega? Logphase 600?

I'm so old I wrote that! That's assuming it's the Windows version, which is the one I worked on. The Win9x game, art, and original code, were done by Maxis/Cinematronics. I ported it to Windows NT, converted the x86 asm to C, made it work on RISC, and so on. Success has many fathers, and all credit should really go to the original designers... I'm just the fun uncle that brought it to the masses.
