@bigkev232 I agree, great in opposition role. Any possibility Cons dont actually WANT to be in power during this tumultuous period of international strife so they just keep the guy no one wants as P.M. but is good as opposition and hope carney and libs bugger up more haha?

@tylermeredith The direction to the Competition Bureau 15 to 20 years ago should have been to shore up actual competition. They've rubber stamped and helped concentrate control and profit in nearly every industry thats had a merger come across their plate and done no good for the avg Canadian.

The GST credit is what will get the headline here. Decent chunk of cash. BUT the far bigger story is the investments to shore up the supply chains and directions to the Competition Bureau to focus on shrinkflation. The GST credit is the sizzle but the meat is the other policy.

@glen_mcgregor If Carney had have taken the Fin Min position under Harper he very well would have ended up the next Cons. P.M. And cons. supporters that lambast him now, would have been cheering on him & another Panda loan agreement if so. Not a lib, but Pierre aint my guy either.

And for this reason, still expected to survive this weekend’s leadership review vote in Calgary by a wide margin.

@_GMunholland @MoneoDallas Glen this thread really got me thinking. Suddenly seeing lots of land for sale at ridiculous prices so the accountant in me said make a spreadsheet. This is very rough but wanted to build it so I could manipulate the numbers easily. Buying at these prices is a death sentence!

If every thing is doom and gloom in ag when do guys drop the consultants and all the extra cost? Cant drop seed fert and diesel. Can pretty easily just make your own decisions. Lots of extra stuff in the industry that does make you money for sure, but costs money as well.

I dont think most assume its foreign ownership of some of these major land purchases, but more foreign backed. The Canadian/Saskatchewan names on the titles may be heavily leveraged outside our borders. If they end up going belly up, who owns the land?

@sdjmaxwell @VoyceReason And that’s fair. Me, I feel language is very important. In this instance he used overthrow as a verb, which is defined as to “remove forcibly from power”. A request to a govt body asking them to sign an MOU, IMO, doesn’t fit as being “forcibly”.

You either accept the results of democratic elections, or you don't. If you support a convoy that doesn't - and that wants to overthrow the government - you are a traitor. There is no in-between. Pick a side. It's not that complicated. Go away, Ferreri. You were fired.

@jackhandey71 @VoyceReason There was initially an MOU from the outset that was organized around requesting the senate form a committee with convoy leadership to run things instead of H.O.C. who were being pressured to resign entirely.. Seems a tad overthrow-y.. Very likely why the MOU was rescinded

@VoyceReason Lol. The delicious irony of this post as you are devoid of facts. A quick search shows they demanded the govt step down, but there is no credible evidence they advocated overthrowing it. Sorry that facts don’t care about your feelings.
